Axel Bergman, BSc. MBA

Axel brings a wealth of leadership experience across the life sciences, medtech, and pharma sectors, with a background spanning from proteomics research to high-level strategic initiatives. He holds a BSc from Simon Fraser University, an MSM from the International Space University, and an Executive MBA from HEC-McGill, and brings direct experience navigating the intersection of science, funding, and organizational growth. Prior to joining 5PS, he served as Assistant Director, Business & Project Development at the TransMedTech Institute at Polytechnique Montréal, where he worked at the interface of medical technology research and commercialization.

At 5 Prime Sciences, Axel oversees the full operational backbone of the company, including HR and grants, IP strategy, data access, and the internal processes that allow the scientific team to move with speed and confidence
