Statistical Geneticist

Marie Sadler, PhD

Marie obtained her PhD in Statistical Genetics at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, where her research focused on developing and benchmarking methods for genetically informed drug target identification and on uncovering molecular causal pathways underlying complex traits. During her PhD, she was a visiting researcher at Stanford University, conducting pharmacogenetic research using longitudinal electronic health record data. She is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has contributed to international research collaborations in the cardiometabolic space.

At 5 Prime Sciences, Marie leads client-facing projects and internal research programs that apply statistical genetics to drug development, from study design and execution through to interpretation and communication of results. Her work bridges genetics, medicine, and data science, with a particular focus on helping clients genetically validate and prioritize drug targets.
